Blood Prophecy (Drake Chronicles #6)

Blood Prophecy (Drake Chronicles, #6)Blood Prophecy Summary:
In the thrilling conclusion of the Drake Chronicles, love and loyalties will be tested ... and proven once and for all.

Solange Drake has been officially crowned Queen of the Vampires, fulfilling the centuries old prophecy that foretold the rise to power of a daughter born to an ancient vampire line. Except Solange's thoughts and actions are no longer her own—she's been slowly being possessed by the spirit of Viola, the first daughter born into the Drake line, since her blood change. And instead of uniting the vampire tribes under the rule of an ancient daughter as the prophecy predicted, Viola would rather destroy them all and enslave humans in a personal vendetta for the devastation both wrought to her life centuries ago. Can Solange break her hold in time to save everyone she loves from a vampire civil war, hunter attack, and each other? Not everyone will survive the prophecy . . . perhaps not even her.

Blood Prophecy Review:
What an absolutely amazing way to end a series that was already amazing. If only the series could have lasted longer. Awfully sad the series is over now but the conclusion was incredibly satisfactory. This book was much longer than the other books but it was incredibly worth it to sit there for hours and read over this EPIC conclusion. Every little piece fell in the larger puzzle and did end up being solved. No this was not a completely happy ending, and I'm thankful for that because it wouldn't have done the series justice if there were no consequences of this battle. All the characters were in this somehow. Facing off in the real battle or fighting with magic off on the sidelines. No one was left without a few scars.

With the end of the battle hidden story lines are revealed and WOW they BLOW. YOUR. MIND!

You finally realize who is the mastermind behind the whole war. No it wasn't the Helios-Ra, rogue vampires or any group of people. It was one person who has been orchestrating this since the prophecy was told. They hid in plain site and waited till the end to come. And no it wasn't a warm welcome for them. Solange gets the ending that she deserves as well as Viola. You also get a back story on Viola which was a much needed eye opener. You realize that you were wrong in your assumptions that evil is black and white. That people that should have had your back are suddenly your enemies. It was amazing how everything was turned upside down yet everything finished all wrapped up with a bow on top.

There were two main POVs in the novel, but there were many other POVs from Isabeau, Hunter, Christabel and others. You saw the different parts of the battle as they were separate and again when they converged. You get to see a vulnerable side to the Drake family especially characters such as Helena and Liam. Characters such as Constatine show their true colours and it's not something pretty. You see Helena kick butt and her whole family fighting together.

The Epilogue was the best chapter in the world! I loved how happy it was and that the families could still smile after what happened. And there is even a new love story that happens which I did not expect. Hoping for a short story there!! I'm just really really sad it's over.

I won't say much else because it might lead to spoilers. Except, this book gave me so much heartbreak and happiness. I did end up tearing up because this novel was so bittersweet. It was the last book in one of the best series I have ever read but it was a fitting conclusion that would shouldn't be continued (novellas not withstanding). This book would be 10 stars if that was possible. And I can`t believe this series is over. I feel sad just writing this review. I keep my fingers crossed for more novellas and more awesome books by Alyxandra!!
