Scandal in Spring (Wallflowers, #4)Scandal in Spring Summary:

But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered... one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies.

Scandal in Spring Review:

This book was a re-read. While I loved it the first time around because it felt like a perfect conclusion to the Wallflower series, the second read revealed more annoyances. Daisy felt like such a whimsical character throughout the series, and I was expecting some of that in this novel. I also wanted to delve more into her story because Lillian was a strong presence that, quite literally, stole the show. And that part carried into this novel as well because the reader kept diving into Lillian's perspective. It felt less about Daisy finding love and more about Lillian discovering how to live without her sister. Which, in and of itself, is a lovely story, but that was not how this book was marketed.

Regarding the romance, I found myself disliking Daisy. She came off as boring, needy, and useless, whereas before, she had had a distinct personality of balanced whimsy and pragmatism. Similarly, Swift was a more boring version of Hunt. However, I did find his personality and backstory more interesting than Daisy's, who came off as an overly privileged girl, distant from reality. I also did not feel particularly interested in the romance between the two.

Overall, 3 out of 5 stars. I was more excited to read about the other characters rather than the main couple. Just left with a pretty 'meh' feeling overall.
